It’s a strange combination of qualities. I don’t need a genre to stick to one thing, so the tonal variation doesn’t bother me – but the execution? That’s another story. Camera work and acting? Top. Stage design and script? Not so much. Okay, maybe not *terrible*, but definitely weak. The vibe I got was, "People are stupid; they don’t question this."They refer to the bomb with some visual cliché or stage a massive public murder and – surprise! – the police won’t come. Only our sly mysterious protagonist looks for clues like a murder mystery brunch. It’s the kind of lazy stuff that makes a pedant want to cry. That said, if you can silence the little voice in your head whispering, “the world doesn’t work like this”, you might really enjoy yourself..
