Synopsis
A retired CIA agent is haunted by both the agency he once worked for and his own nightmares when an unknown man suddenly visits him after nearly three decades. During this time, Jeff Bridges was diagnosed and then treated for non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
After recovering, the series returned to production
Bridges referred to the return as coming back after a "long weekend" on podcast in July 2022. Featured at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards (2024).
The Old Man is a spy thriller that is definitely worth watching!
Jeff Bridges is great as always and does an amazing job making you believe he’s still a bad ass at 72! His dogs steal every scene they are in and remind me of the dogs from John Wick.
Really looking forward to more and recommend it to anyone who is a fan of spy thrillers
Everyone else in the cast is on top of their game here too, especially John Lithgow (who rarely disappoints). I know there are a lot of really good spy series to choose from, but this has everything you want in a spy thriller and is definitely a must watch.
